Helen Turner, Nutritional Therapist
Good Nutrition directly affects the way our bodies work and how we feel about ourselves. Nutritional Therapy is a system of healing that uses nutrition and other techniques to treat the individual. It recognises that the mental, emotional and physical states must all be treated for a lasting effect.Helen trained as a Nutritional Therapist at the visionary Nutritional Healing Foundation in Manchester. She works with clients all over the North West advising on their health and wellbeing. She regularly leads workshops and seminars on nutritional therapy and has a particular interest in the fields of addiction and athletic performance. Through applying the practice of natural nutrition to herself and working one to one with clients, Helen has had extensive first hand experience of how effectively nutritional therapy can aid health and personal growth.
Nutritional Therapy can work effectively in the following areas:
Consultation
Before the initial consultation a questionnaire is dispatched which should be
completed and returned before the first appointment. The first consultation
takes approximately 1 & 1/2 hrs with all subsequent appointments taking
an hour.
Diet, lifestyle, environmental and emotional factors, medical and
family history and current symptoms are all taken into consideration to assess
the clients needs and form a comprehensive and effective treatment plan. During
the course of the treatment programme the client comes to understand how they
have arrived at their current state of health empowering them to be able to take
responsibility for their own health. The treatment plan is formed primarily
around diet, fluids, therapeutic techniques and appropriate supplementation,
detoxifying and renurturing the body to restore health.
